GetWellNetwork Appoints Ellen Swartwout as VP, Research and Analytics
Company continues to invest in the science behind Interactive Patient Care, strengthening evidence-based practices and outcomes surrounding patient engagement
Bethesda, Md., March 20, 2014 – GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced that Ellen Swartwout, Ph.D., RN, NEA-BC has joined the company as vice president of research and analytics. In this new role, Swartwout will be responsible for integrating evidence-based nursing and care theory into the company’s IPC delivery model. She will also be working with the Institute for Interactive Patient Care to develop a national agenda for research in patient engagement.

Swartwout is the immediate past senior director of certification and measurement services at the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has over 27 years of experience in nursing as a clinician leaders and researcher, having served in numerous leadership roles. Prior to her role at ANCC, she was senior director of professional practice at Inova Health System in Virginia. She has also been an adjunct professor of biostatistics at George Mason University.
