The GetWellNetwork system enables hospitals to deliver educational content to patients through the bedside TV in the hospital and web, mobile, and cable TV in the home. Designed for health educators, nurses and other interdisciplinary teams, the GetWellNetwork Patient Education Library provides a virtual “one-stop-shop” to review quality, evidence-based content that can be made available to your patients. By accessing the library, your hospital will be able to determine which offering is preferred for your organization, request to license the content, and have the materials uploaded to your GetWellNetwork system. 

Content Selectively Reviewed

To be included in the GetWellNetwork education library, the content must meet six requirements, including: (1) evidence and behavior focused, (2) basic literacy needs, (3) effective use of graphics, (4) stimulating and motivating to view, (5) positive cultural images, and (6) aligns with current caregiver practices.  In addition, the content must engage patients as an important member of their own care team, as well as use effective teaching methods for a variety of learners.
