GetWellNetwork Taps High-Tech Veteran Michele Perry as Chief Operating Officer

Leader of Interactive Patient Care Technology Adds Expert Market Strategist to Executive Team To Shape Next Stage of Growth

BETHESDA, MD. – November 16, 2009 – GetWellNetwork, Inc. today announced the appointment of Michele Perry as chief operating officer. Ms. Perry, an experienced high-tech leader and market strategist, will help lead the company to a new level of growth and deliver on the promise of improving patient care through its flagship Interactive Patient Care solution.  Among her priorities, Ms. Perry will focus on GetWellNetwork’s leadership position in shaping the rapidly expanding digital health market.

Ms. Perry brings a proven track record of three successful IPOs and demonstrated success in enterprise class systems, strategic planning and business-to-business marketing.  Prior to joining GetWellNetwork, Ms. Perry served as chief marketing officer for Sourcefire, Inc., where she drove the company’s marketing, branding and product management initiatives.  She helped grow the company from $9 million to $76 million in revenue during her tenure, to a market cap of over $550 million.

Prior to Sourcefire, Ms. Perry held top marketing and management positions at USinternetworking Inc., Versatility, Inc., Software AG, Unify Corporation and IBM.  She also operated her own strategic marketing and business development consultancy for fast growing companies.

Ms. Perry and her team at Sourcefire was recognized numerous times by the Northern Virginia Tech Council during her tenure.  Among them, the Hottest Buzz award and also the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. Other marketing awards included this year’s Sales and Marketing Alignment Award from DemandGen.  Ms. Perry holds a BS from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She serves on the advisory boards for technology companies, including Eloqua and Zenoss, and is a member of the UMBC Research Park Board.
